About the Salty Dawg
The Salty Dawg is a 38' bay built charter boat, powered by a
Caterpillar diesel engine. She is fully equipped, including a modern stand up
head, heated cabin, 2 color video finders, GPS plotter, a 24-mile radar, VHS
radio, CBs, cell phone, and for your listening pleasure, an AM/FM radio
cassette stereo. Salty Dawg
accommodates up to 6 passengers and we welcome both adults and children. We also welcome business groups (what
better way to reward your employees or show your customers how much you
appreciate them by enjoying a day of fishing on the Chesapeake Bay)! The Salty Dawg is located just behind
Abners Restaurant in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland. We are just 45 minutes from Baltimore
and Washington, DC. Fishing equipment aboard the Salty Dawg includes Penn reels
and custom rods for trolling, Penn rods and reels for medium tackle (for
trolling and live lining), and Penn and Shimano outfits for light tackle
fishing. We obtain all of our
baits fresh from local suppliers to ensure the fish will bite. Many Chesapeake Bay Sport fishing
enthusiasts have enjoyed a day on the Bay aboard the
Salty Dawg with Captain Bill. We
